Did not like these bibs. We purchased two of them and used one at a time and both ended up getting mold/mildew in between the liners and they smelled too. I do like the size as it covers the body well from any spills and my daughter isn’t able to pull it off due to the sturdy snaps that holds it together. But, still not worth the purchase because of the mold and the smell. It also dries really slow, which may have contributed to the mold. We ended up buying the Bumpkins and they’re working out really great. Dries much faster, no double liner so no mold so far and doesn’t smell. Easier to transport for travel.

I initially loved this bib for three reasons: 1) its laminate surface is super easy to clean, 2) it has snap closures, which is hard to find in my opinion is essential (velcro inevitably stops “sticking” after months of normal use and basic washing, rendering the bib useless), and 3) it is comfortable for my kids to wear (unlike hard plastics).

However, now after using it for about 6 months, black mold/mildew is (rather suddenly) growing between the layers of the bib. It’s impossible to clean off, even with straight bleach, and while I do not yet have odor issues, I expect (based on other reviewers’ comments) that I soon will. I’m a bit freakish about mold, especially since my children eat with these bibs… these will most certainly find their way to my trash as soon as I can replace them.

BTW – I’ve only ever hand-washed these bibs, and usually clean them just by wiping the surface. If even this most basic, careful maintenance can lead to mold/mildew, then clearly the product is defective.

If anyone knows of a laminate snap-bib that has a better track record and longer life span, please let me know! I’ll buy these again with the knowledge that they will not last long, but only if I can’t find another laminate snap-closure bib as an alternative.

I have several of these bibs and LOVE them! The first ones I bought had a vinyl liner that would collect water if I soaked them in the sink or washed them in the washing machine. I can totally see how they would harbor smells. However, the subsequent ones I purchased did not have that vinyl liner and are just as durable and washable without it. I cut the vinyl out of the first ones and now they are great! These are so easy to keep clean. I either just wipe them down if they aren’t too dirty, or throw them in the DISHWASHER if they are really dirty. I have washed them this way regularly for at least a year and they still look awesome (I don’t use the heat dry cycle on my machine, though, just FYI). Love, love, LOVE these bibs! Babies can’t get them off, either – and the neck is adjustable so they fit my 6 month old just as well as my two year old.

These clean up great and don’t stay wet long, which means they don’t end up smelling like many bibs I’ve tried! Love the designs as well!

This is the best bib. I have one and just bought 2 more. I don’t use any other bib now! It has snaps instead of velcro which is great if your baby doesn’t like to wear bibs. I don’t have any problem with moldy smells like some reviews have mentioned. It is machine washable but you can just wipe it down with a cloth or wipe which is very convenient!
